26th of June is marked as ‘International Day against Illicit Trafficking & Drug Abuse” – around the world. To fight against the menace of drugs, Siddha has hand-holded with Kolkata police – to raise awareness and to educate the mass and youth about the subject. Being one of the core committee members of narcotics cell of detective department, every year Siddha participates in a month long activity schedule – started from 6th June. Siddha organized inter school competitions on debate, sit & draw, essay writing, poster, rally where school students, Police Officials, members of Siddha Family and eminent celebrities joined together to disseminate awareness. To sensitize general public, six awareness events were conducted in 2016 in different shopping malls.
